Wounded one and wounded two
Both seemingly trying to connect
Both lost in emotional immaturity
I don’t know what to do
though I want to do it with you
How to better communicate
How to hear what the other needs
In each vastly changing
and unpredictable moment
These things I ponder
In my solitude
These things hurt me hurt me to the core
These things that hurt you hurt you too
Awash in feelings of being disregarded
dissociated and feeling alone
We forget that we are on the same side
We lose track of why we are together
Please know I am not against you
Please hear that I am really trying
To move this giant mountain of pain
Help me to open our hearts.
